Jose Antonio Rincon

Jose Antonio  RinconJOSÉ ANTONIO RINCÓN was born in Rionegro, Columbia, and currently resides in Mexico where he teaches at the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma De Puebla. He holds degrees from the National University of Columbia (musical pedagogy) and Queens College of New York (post-graduate studies in conducting).

He has received numerous musical awards and recognitions, including the First Prize at the 4th International Choral Contest, Athens, Greece, in 1992, the Diploma of Musical Distinction from the Ayuntamiento de la Ciudad de Puebla (1998), the Diploma of Honor from the Prague Advent Choral Meeting (2011), and the Diploma of Excellence from the Festivalul Internal De Muzica Corala, Mioveni, Romania (2014).

José Antonio. Rincón has participated in seminars with Olav Roots, Robert Shaw, Helmuth Rilling, Paul Maynard, and Frieder Bernius. He is a member of the Society of Authors and Composers of Columbia (SAYCO).
