BIG TIME IN THE CITY

This very easy chart is bluesy with a rock-style twist - an exciting choice for beginning jazz ensemble! Flexible orchestration allows it to be played by as few as 9 players, and also includes an optional vocal part. All vocal lines are doubled in the winds, ensuring a full and complete sound whether performed with or without the singer. Additionally, everyone in the ensemble has an opportunity to improvise in the open solo section, and the set includes two suggested solos, plus a CD with a solo practice track to facilitate successful improvisation.
