Away in a Manger - Score

There are two main melodies used for this setting,“Cradle Song” and “Mueller,” both associated with Away in a Manger. “Mueller” was composed in 1887 by American composer James R. Murray. Irish-born American composer William J. Kirkpatrick composed “Cradle Song” and it was first published in 1885. This setting opens with “Cradle Song,” then “Mueller” enters at measure 40. The two melodies come together midway through.
