Inspired by the cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C., composer Katrina Cavaliere wrote this lovely and simple song using a pentatonic scale (B b , C, D, F, and G) with simple quarter note and half note rhythms. The percussion section lends its support with eighth notes. Correlates with Tradition of Excellence Book 1, page 12.
