Contrasts in Style, Book Two

This collection of eight intermediate to late intermediate level piano solos is full of contrasts indeed! It is chock-full of student favorites which are also useful for recitals and festivals! Dreamland features a rather dramatic melody accompanied by arpeggiated left-hand chords. Set Sail! and Whirlwind Fantasy are lively and brisk tarantellas in 6/8 time. Straight River Rag is fun to play with its authentic sounds and lively ragtime rhythms. The Eagle Soars is a showy ballad with broad and full sounds. Malagueña has authentic, yet accessible, Spanish sounds, and Thunderstorm! is a showy recital solo, for sure.
