Description
A Hectic Overture is an upbeat, exciting work for full orchestra, featuring a lively opening that flows into a legato horn melody soon shared with the woodwinds. The intensity then builds in a fugue-like section using opening theme fragments, followed by a triumphant return of the legato melody played by the strings. The percussion section adds substantial texture and intensity throughout the piece.
