A playful piece with stylistic characteristics from folk songs, barn dances and the sound of fiddles. A simple melody with strong beats, hand-clapping and foot-stomping are all reminiscent of the traditions of the English and Scottish immigrants who lived in the mountain areas from Pennsylvania to Georgia.
