Look Ma, One Hand
Twelve pieces to engage one or the other hand -- either hand can play any of the pieces. Marvelous for allowing concentration to focus on specific music elements rather than trying to coordinate two hands to play at once. Fingering is not included since it depends on which hand is playing. The first eight pieces stay within five-finger position, so the fingering becomes obvious. Beginning on page 10, the hands must move to different positions. Circles are then are provided for students to write in the fingering above or below the notes. The performer decides the tempo. No harmonic intervals are used and only one piece has pedal indicated. Note values are quarter, half, dotted half, whole, and in two pieces, eighth notes pairs.
