This Overture is set in ABA concert form. The A section is an energetic 4/4 march, set off by the contrasting 3/4 B section. Once again, the composer shows his ability to write very musically for young band without being too technically demanding. The variety of styles presented in this overture makes it an excellent selection for concert or contest!
