This arrangement of James Bastien’s heroic march celebrates the Olympic values: EXCELLENCE, RESPECT, and FRIENDSHIP. Its uplifting melodies encourage us to put aside rivalries and embrace the unity these ideals promote. Set in G Major, the triumphant introduction transitions into the melody played by the cello section. Soon after, all sections of the orchestra share in the portrayal of the melody and enjoy performing with sweeping dynamics. All in first position.
