Benjamin Taylor

Benjamin Taylor is a young composer who is being increasingly recognized across North America for music of artistry and energy, depth and delight. He has written works for nearly all genres. His music has been heard in concert halls, churches and rock clubs, on radio and television, performed by ensembles such as the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, San Francisco Choral Artists, Princeton Singers, and the Wild Harrys.

Born in Kyoto, Japan, Benjamin spent the majority of his formative years in Santa Rosa, California. He has served as composer-in-residence of the Sonoma County Chamber Singers, and his works receive regular performances across North America.

Benjamin currently serves as Music Director at the Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Santa Rosa. He is also the Cover Conductor for the Santa Rosa Symphony's Preparatory and Discovery Orchestras, and he has enjoyed guest engagements with other fine ensembles. He lives in Santa Rosa, CA, with his wife, Cat.
