Bernardo Latini
Juan Bernardo Latini was born in 1975 in Azul, Argentina. He holds degrees in choral conducting and music composition from La Plata University in La Plata, Argentina, where he now lives and teaches. He is an assistant professor in the music department at La Plata University, and he is active as a choral conductor, orchestral arranger, and freelance choral composer. His awards and recognitions include the First Prize at the National Choral Composition and Arrrangement Contest, Ars Nova Choir (2006) and the First Prize at the National Choral Composition for Children’s Choirs, Argentinean Choral Conductors Association (2007). In 2009 Latini was also a guest professor in choral music at the Alessandria Conservatory in Italy.
“La Margarita” received an award in 2009 at the National Composition Contest for Equal Voices Choirs, organized by the Children and Youth Choir of Pergamino (in Buenos Aires) for its 35th Anniversary.
