Ralph M. Johnson

Ralph M. Johnson is a composer and church musician living and working in the Twin Cities (Minnesota). A graduate of St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota, he studied composition with Ronald A. Nelson, Arthur Campbell, Paul Fetler and Dominick Argento, and pursues an active life composing music for choir, solo voice, instruments, and the theater. Performers of his music include the St. Olaf Choir, Magnum Chorum, the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy of the Oregon Bach Festival, the Formosa Singers of Taiwan, and Nautilus Music-Theater of St. Paul. Ralph currently serves as Director of Music at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he also directs the adult choir.
