Robert Campbelle is a composer, singer, instrumentalist, music director, and teacher. Beginning with an orchestral work performed in high school, he has written a large number of choral anthems, responses, children's plays, and major works for church choirs, community choruses, solo instrumentalists, bands, and orchestras over the past 35 years. He has served as editor of the Indiana Theory Review and authored a music appreciation textbook.
Mr. Campbelle has performed as an instrumentalist in the US Military Academy Band at West Point and has sung in the Riverside Church choir in N ew York. For the past 14 years he has sung in the Cincinnati Camerata, an ensemble that has premiered several of his choral works. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Furman University and a Master of Arts from Teachers College, Columbia University; in addition to doctoral studies at Indiana University.
