Thomas LaJoie

Thomas LaJoie is Director of Orchestras at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina and Butler High School, in Matthews, North Carolina. He has taught in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools system since 1993, working first with elementary school students and later moving to middle and high school orchestras. He has been guest conductor for the South Carolina Region One Honors Orchestra, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Honors Orchestra, ad the North Carolina Western Regional Repertory Orchestra. Mr. LaJoie is a native of Charlotte and earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from Winthrop College and his Music Education degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is married and has an active young daughter.
