Lauryn Bomse

Lauryn Bomse is a contemporary pianist, composer, and music educator based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with over 15 years of teaching experience. A graduate with highest honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz, she received the Dean's Undergraduate Award and the Hortense Zuckerman Prize for her achievements in music. Lauryn is an accomplished composer and performer who is dedicated to community engagement by organizing benefit concerts that support local causes and amplify underrepresented voices in music.

In 2022, Lauryn was commissioned by the Santa Fe Music Teachers Association to compose a set of nine progressive piano solos titled High Desert Wildlife, designed to inspire early elementary through intermediate level piano students. Her most recent work, Bodies in Motion: 11 Oscillations from the Observable Universe, explores the kinesthetic essence of physical forces, from dancing subatomic particles to the crushing pressure of black holes, exploring what it means to be a sentient being in a beautiful and volatile cosmos.
