David Poole
Since his first experience cantoring in 1982, David Poole has been unable to turn loose of his love for church and choral music. He is currently the Director of Music at La Mesa Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, where he lives with his wife and two young children.
In 1994 David founded the de Profundis a cappella men's ensemble, a community group that he still directs. Over the last few years David has found himself drawn increasingly to composition, for which he frequently seeks inspiration on the trout streams of northern New Mexico.
In addition to choral titles with several publishers, he has published a book, The River's Bend, recounting fishing experiences with his late father. He has a master's degree in music from the University of New Mexico and a bachelor's in English from Indiana University.
