Donald Haddad

Donald Haddad received his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees form Ohio University, where he graduated with Honors in Composition. While at Ohio, he studied composition with Karl Ahrendt and Ernst von Dohnonyi and horn with William Brophy. He was a doctoral student at the University of Colorado where he served as Visiting Lecturer in Horn. Professional study was taken at Aspen Festival of Music and Chautawqua Institute of Music. His private teachers have included James Chambers and Philip Farkas. Following graduation at Ohio University, Mr. Haddad served as Assistant Director of Bands and Brass Instructor at West Texas University.

A former C.G. Conn Clinician, Mr. Haddad has over 35 solo, ensemble, and concert band publications to his credit. A member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, he has received 24 ASCAP Serious Music Awards. His compositions are included on 11 albums and he has written commissioned works for various high school and college ensembles. Mr. Haddad continues to compose and arrange educational music for band, orchestra, and chorus.
