Larry Kelley
Mr. Kelley has over 30 years of experience in the competitive high school band field. His bands have consistently won positions as finalists at Bands of America Grand National Championships. Bands under the direction of Mr. Kelly qualified every year for the Ohio Music Education Association Marching Band Finals and received many awards at local, regional, and national contests. His marching bands have performed all over the country, including the Hollywood Christmas Parade, Citrus Bowl Parade, Waikiki Christmas Parade, Disney World and Disneyland. Mr. Kelley's concert and jazz bands also received similar accolades, earning consistent "Superior" ratings at the district and state level. His ensembles have successfully competed at festivals in St. Louis, Nashville, Chicago, Toronto, and Virginia Beach.
Mr. Kelley has served as an adjudicator at Ohio Music Education Association competitions, the South Carolina Marching Band Finals, and the Heritage Festivals. He has appeared as a band clinician at The Ohio State University, Otterbein College, and Capital University, as well as at several Ohio M.E.A. conferences.
Mr. Keley is now retired and resides in Treasure Island, Florida, where he runs his own business, Kelley Musical Arrangements and Design. He is an active adjudicator with the Central States Judges Association and the Florida Bandmasters Association.
