Lloyd Pfautsch
Lloyd Pfautsch was Professor of Sacred Music and Director of Choral Activities at the Meadows School of the Arts, Southern Methodist University from 1958 until his retirement in 1992. He also organized and conducted the Dallas Civic Chorus for 25 years. Prior to SMU, Pfautsch taught at Illinois Wesleyan University, the University of Illinois, and the School of Sacred Music at Union Theological Seminary. A native of Washington, Missouri, Pfautsch holds degrees from Elmhurst College and Union Theological Seminary. He was awarded honorary degrees by Elmhurst College, Illinois Wesleyan University, and West Virginia Wesleyan College.
