Looks like what it feels like. There are no “surprises” in the score to trip or frustrate a student. Every compositional and notational decision is based on what will be easiest for students to read and understand. Occasionally this means breaking “the rules” of standard notation. Some pieces use accidentals instead of key signatures to make reading easier. Measure numbers and occasional rests are omitted to avoid clutter.
