RICERCARE - SCORE
A ricercare originally referred to a composition of an introductory nature. It later meant a "free" composition resembling a fugue. This work is a series of imitative episodes based on the opening English horn motive and features syncopation and meter changes. Cross-cues for the English horn solos are given in other instruments. Ricercare is Jack Stamp at his finest!
