The Vanishing Villain

This is a showy recital piece that is full of fun. It opens with hand-over-hand arpeggiated minor triads going up and down the keyboard (with pedal), establishing the sinister mood ... and a full sound! It is full of dynamic contrasts and ends with a large glissando to the highest note of the piano (the villain vanishes)! Teachers will find this solo perfect for students moving out of five-finger positions by way of crossing over of the thumb.
