Zootastic!

Zootastic! takes listeners on a lively musical trip through the zoo. This suite made up of three short movements introduces us to the mighty lions, the graceful flamingos, and the goofy monkeys. The outer movements feature quarter and eighth note rhythms while the middle movement features a lyrical melody in 3/4 time. Directors have the flexibility to perform one, two, or all three. All movements are in concert B-flat, with the second movement providing an added challenge through its 3/4 meter. Featuring unison writing and call-and-response sections, this fun and engaging piece is well suited for young bands in their first year of playing. You belong in the zoo!
