Kevin Daley

Kevin Daley is an honors graduate of the Berklee College of Music, and has taught at the Minnesota Center for Arts Education, McNally Smith College of Music, St. Mary's College in Winona, Bemidji State University, and MacPhail Center for Music. He is a recipient of The West Bank School of Music Jazz Composer Award as well as the Minnesota Jazz Music Award for Best Jazz-Fusion Guitarist. Kevin frequently performs with a wide variety of ensembles in the Twin Cities area.

Kevin began playing the guitar at age 11 and performed his first professional gig just one year later. Since then, his career has taken him through a kaleidoscope of performing experiences—from rock and roll groups to big bands to jazz combos to solo classical guitar studies. An avid composer, he has released multiple albums featuring his own original works, and is involved in a wide array of commercial recording projects. His other publications include Guitar Sessions, Book 1; Solo Studies, Books 1 and 2 (correlated with Guitar Sessions); and Jazz Styles for Solo Guitar—all published by the Neil A. Kjos Music Company. He and his wife, Nancy, a piano instructor and performer, currently reside in Minneapolis.
